Asus Rog Phone 3 Specifications: What No One Is Talking About?

Introdution 

   What's up guys, anand here on Ak chats. And we've got here the latest of what has been my favorite gaming smartphone over the past couple of years. This is of course, the ASUS ROG Phone 3. We're going to get this review, but we'll also do a bit of a comparison versus the ROG Phone 2, to see what's different.
     Now inside the box as well as the phone, we've got some ROG stickers. We've got this plastic case. We've got some rubber coverings for the ports. There's a braided USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable, as well as a fast charger. This is a 30-watt fast charger. I think that's about the same as what we had last year. We've got the Aero Active 3 Cooler, which is the accessory that we can put on to the ROG Phone 3. And we've also got a USB Type-C to 3.5 milli meter converter. And that is because the ROG Phone 3 does not have a 3.5 milli meter jack this year. There is however, a 3.5 millimeter jack on the Aero Active 3 Cooler, which we'll get to in a second. And of course you get that converter too.

Spcifications. 

     So, you in here that it's got that iconic ROG phone design, and looks very similar to the ROG Phone 2,.Not only the  the design being similar,but the size is almost exactly the same. The ROG Phone 3 is just slightly thicker. And that is partly because it's got more of a camera bump because of the new cameras. But I do quite like the cleaner look of the ROG Phone 3. There aren't as many lines aswe've got on the ROG Phone 2. And the aerodynamic cooling section has also been updated with this more minimal design. There's of course the RGB RO Glog, which you can customize. And it looks really, really cool. Now, taking a look at the front. We once again, have a very similar design to what we had last year. And this is around about a 6.6 inch AMOLED display. However, there are lots of improvements. Firstly, it is a 144 hertz display compared to the 120 hertz of the ROG Phone 2. You've also got an improved touch sampling rates. So, we've got 270 hertz versus 240 hertz on the ROG Phone 2. And Asus have also said that we've got as little as 18 milliseconds of touch latency. Which is the lowest on any smartphone in the world right now. Both have a Full HD+ resolution, but the ROG Phone 3 does have support for HDR 10+. Whereas the ROG Phone 2 has support for HDR 10. And we've also got a slightly brighter display on the ROG Phone 3, up to 650 nits outdoors, versus 600 nits on the ROG Phone 2. Now, I've absolutely loved the display on the ROG Phone 2. So smooth, one of the first with 120 hertz. Now, the ROG Phone 3 is one of the first with 144 hertz. How much of a difference does it make from 120 hertz to 144 hertz? Definitely a difference,but not as noticeable as when you go from say 60 to 90 hertz, or from 90 to 100 hertz. The higher the refresh rate, the less noticeable it is it, in my opinion. But nevertheless, with that high refresh rate, the higher touch sampling rates, as well as that minimal latency, does make this one of the, if not the best gaming smartphone display out there. And we do have the top and bottom bezels. Which give you the front firing stereo speakers. Now, these speakers are slightly larger compared to what we had last year. And on the ROG Phone 3,we have seven magnets for more power and less distortion, as well as game effects in partnership with Swedish company, Dirac. Now let's take a look around the device. So upfront there is that front-facing camera. This is 24 megapixels. It's got a slightly wider aperture compared to what we had last year. On the right-hand side, the buttons are on the same place. So we've got the volume rocker as well as the power button. And then we've got the air triggers. These are version three of the air triggers. And this year, we've got twice as many gestures compared to last year. Now supporting both sliding and swiping. And you can also divide each button into two partitions for tapping. So air triggers are actually really useful because you can map these two different areas on different games. And you know, they're going to give you an additional advantage. At the bottom, is where we've got that surprise. And there is no 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. So you've just got the USB Type-C input, but on the left-hand side, as well as the SIM card tray, you do have two USB Type-C ports in the middle. And this is something that I absolutely love about ROG phones. Just the consideration of having these on the left-hand side means that, not only can you attach different accessories, but you can also plug in the smartphone, use it in landscape mode, and the wire is not going to be coming in your way like it would do on other smartphones. Really, really cool. It does come with a cover, which I usually take off and lose. Now, here you can attach the Aero Active 3 Cooler, which we have here. Now this is not only going to cool your device. You have another RGB logo because the current logo is going to be covered. And then you've got a USB Type-C port here at the bottom. So you can still have this plugged in, as well as of course,a 3.5 millimeter jack. So yes, we don't have a 3.5 millimeter jack on the device itself, but it is nice that we do have it onthe Aero Active Cooler. And the new thing about the Aero Active Cooler this time is that we'vealso got a kickstand. So, if you're watching somecontent and you just want somewhere to kind of placethis for your gaming, and you don't want tobe carrying the device, then this is definitely quite cool. Now, let's talk about performance. ROG phone's known for having the latest and best specs out there. And this is also the case on the ROG Phone 3. I believe it is the first smartphone to have the Qualcomm snapdragon 865+ chipset. The ROG Phone 2 has the 865+. It was also one of the first to have that chipset. Now there is also the ROGPhone 3 Strix Edition. This is going to be priced a little bit lower, and that will have the snapdragon 865 standard. And you can get up to 512 gigabytes of UFS3.1 storage up from 3.0 last year, as well as up to 16 gigabytes of LPDDR5 RAM compared to up to 12 gigabytes of LPDDR4X RAM that we had last year. We've also of course got support for 5G this year, and we've got the Game Cool 3 heat dissipating system.

     This has a six times larger heat sink compared to last year with a redesigned 3D vapor chamber and in larger graphite. Now I still use the ROG Phone, and it has no problems in terms of performance, really does keep up with all of the newer games as well. The ROG Phone 3 just takes that further, and it's going to last you that much longer. It also has newer software. So we've got Android 10 with the ROG UI. My ROG Phone 2 still has Android 9. I've not got the Android updates as yet. We've got X mode with armory crate. So, this gives you a wider variety of performance parameters from CPU and GPU performance to touch sensitivity settings and display refresh rate. Now let's talk about the cameras. So the cameras have been improved compared to last year, and there's some really interesting things here. The primary camera is now a 64 megapixel sensor. It is the Sony IMX686 compared to the IMX 586 with 48 megapixels last year. We've got a 13 megapixel ultra-wide camera. And this year, we've also got an additional five megapixel macro camera, which is going to let you focusin closer to your subjects. It's five megapixels. So, it's not the bestmacro camera out there, but it's nice to have. What's very exciting for me however, is the fact that couples with the Qualcomm snapdragon 865+ chipset. That means you can get 8K at 30 frames per second here. That is something that you really can't do on many other devices,as far as I'm aware. This is probably one of the only that has that capability. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Series does have 8K, but that is at a maximum of 24 frames a second. But in addition to that, you've got 4K at up to 120 frames per second. And I believe that makes this one of the only smartphones that can film at that frame rate at that resolution. Which is very, very impressive. Now for the battery. We once again have 6,000,000,000 bowers, which is one of the largest batteries on any smartphone right now. And my experience with the ROGPhone 2 was very, very good. One of the best in terms of battery life on any smartphone last year and with the ROG Phone 3 as well, that battery life, amazing. Obviously the more you game, and the more heavy you game with he high refresh rates, that's going to take up more battery. However, Asus have put in a few features in here to get you the most out of your battery life. There's some battery care features. So you've got a custom charging limit, and that will allow you to say, lower your limit to around 90% or 80%. There's also a slow charging option, which will limit charging to around 10 watts, which will be better for the battery wear, we'll keep the temperature down by around 34%. And, there's also scheduled charging with added sleep wall options such as end time by alarm.

Conclusion

      Now, finally, let's talk about the price. So, the pricing information I have right now is that for this flagship version, which has 512 gigabytes of storage, 16 gigabytes of RAM with the 865+, you're going to be looking at around 1,100 euros. If you do want to go for the 12 gigabyte version, then that's going toat around 1,000 euros. And if you do want togo for the Strix Edition with the 865 8 gigabytes of RAM with 256 gigabytes of storage, then that's going to be around 800 euros. new one plus nord is here!!!

Introduction 

  The oneplus nord is finally here and I'll be sharing   the details right after this.So this weewe've had some shocking news about the upcoming oneplus   Nord or oneplus z as it may be called and it turns out we've been wrong about   a lot we've had confirmation of its name news that it's gonna have six cameras in   total and the phone is finally being revealed before we get started though   please follow my blog if you're a fan of oneplus and let me know in the   comments if you're gonna be purchasing the oneplus Nord or another phone   altogether so last time I told you guys about a oneplus Instagram about the new   upcoming at oneplus Nord the Instagram is called oneplus z light and it may be   the source of a lot of new information they've posted a tweet that says crack   the code which is a series of numbers it needs are clearly coordinates when   looking at Google Maps it's somewhere in China but no one knows what it means   my thinking is that this is probably the location at where they'll be holding the   online-only launch event we also have a meme posted from them that suggests the   Instagram is going to be better than athletes and it's accompanied by the   text the other guys are really good but we think we can do better stay tuned to   see what's coming next hashtag at new beginnings finally they've posted a   four part video discussing the oneplus node and the new beginnings launch event   while we were previously unsure of the name it turns out it may be the oneplus   Nord and not the oneplus z the Instagram account for oneplus actually messed up   or maybe they were just trolling us but they posted a picture and if we zoom in   carefully we can see it refers to the oneplus nord the Instagram account   actually deleted this picture pretty quickly so it was either a genuine mistake or they're trying to throw us off track.

    We also had a shocking   new discovery the oneplus Nord it may have two cameras on the front and this   will be a dual punch hole camera the report came from Android Central who   sure said that an Insider has advised them that the oneplus Nord is coming with   the 32 megapixel and an 8 megapixel dual camera setup on the front the 32   megapixel is of course the primary and the 8 megapixel is gonna be a wide-angle   lens they also stated their wallet is counter to everything we've been told   so far they've apparently seen the final version themselves and would not have   written the post otherwise max J also tweeted since then to say he's had the   same information and been sitting on it for a while max D was also asked further   down in the thread if we had four or two lenses on the back of the oneplus   Nord he confirmed it that we're gonna have four lenses on the back and that   means if he's right we're gonna have six cameras in total on the new oneplus nord.So many   leaks early on for the oneplus Nord we even had hands-on videos it's crazy to   think that this could have just been a prototype that's not a final design and   it's never gonna make it to consumers it appears that the rest of the old   information was still correct though apart from the cameras and the punch   hole to the chipset and the display are going to be exactly what we expected of   course that this new information could just as easily be false but   it does appear that it's more likely to be true with launch  it's only   24 hours until we find out for sure but I thought it would be interesting if we   take a look back at what we previously thought when it was called the oneplus z   and see how different it is from launch and how wrong we were when it came to the   oneplus z leaks.
   

Specifications of oneplus nord

      We already have plenty of details on design specs launch dating   cost and we even had hands-on video footage so we're gonna run through all   of it now as we covered the 1 plus e has a full screen display with a punch hole   selfie camera top center the display is reportedly gonna be a six point   four inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 23 40 by 1080 which   gives us 403 pixels per inch we already know that this is also gonna be at least   a 90 Hertz display considering oneplus officially said that all future models   would be there are rumors saying that it could be a hundred and twenty Hertz but   these appears to be untrue the display will of course be protected by Gorilla   Glass but at this moment in time we don't know what version there's gonna   be no fingerprint scanner on the rear of the oneplus z so it's pretty safe   to assume it that we're gonna get the in display fingerprint scanner when   it comes to the selfie camera on the front there are many different rumors   floating around but many agree that it's gonna be a 12 megapixel sensor   when it comes to the rear of the oneplus z we've got a vertical camera alignment   and in dual camera setup with the LED flash early leaks were suggesting that   it could be a triple camera setup but these also turned out to be false as we   covered earlier the lack of a physical fingerprint scanner on the back means   we'll be getting an in display one when it comes to the rear cameras reports are   suggesting that the primary camera is going to be a 48 megapixel sensor the   secondary it will be a 16 megapixel ultra wide and of course we get the   LED flash on the bottom the oneplus z cameras are gonna support both optical   and electronic image stabilisation we've got the power button and alert   slider on the right-hand side of the oneplus z with the volume buttons on   the left the phone is of course powered by USB type-c and there's no three and   a half mil headphone jack many people early on reported that the oneplus z   was going to be powered up by media text I meant to t1000 but it's just   not going to be the case the oneplus z is gonna be powered by the Snapdragon   765 G and the smartphone is gonna come up with a choice of 128 or 256 storage   and also 8 or 12 gigs of ram the use of the Snapdragon 765 processor also means   that this phone will have 5g support and for those that aren't concerned with 5g   it will of course support earlier LTE networks and below the phone dimensions   measuring at 159 point two by seventy four by eight point six millimeters   and it's all going to be powered by a four thousand milliamp hour battery   was support for 30 watt fast charging.
     When it comes to the pricing it's still   very much unknown at the moment but it will of course have to be lower than the   eight many were estimating that the range was going to start around four   hundred and fifty dollars but I think i one plus nord  could actually be lower the four hundred   and fifty dollar leak came out very early on and the market has changed   a lot since that time with the iPhone se at four hundred in the pixel for a   expected to be 350 it is creating some very fist competition in the mid-range   market so if oneplus want to compete here then they're gonna have to do   the same overall though it's looking like a great phone at that's offering   a lot for the price and it's nice to see oneplus going back to what they   know best for those of you that want to purchase one though it's being launched   next month in July we don't know exactly what date yet but max J has   hinted at July and he has been fairly reliable when it comes to the oneplus   information now unfortunately that's all the news I have for you guys today   but as more solid information comes in I'll be sharing it straight away   as always though I'd like to know your thoughts in the comments who are there   is waiting for the oneplus Nord and what leaks do you think you're correct   but thanks for reading the blog if you liked this matter thumbs up if   you didn't hear the thumbs down twice and I'll see you guys in the next one

Motorola edge plus:the newest flagship from motorola

    

      You know Motorola,everyone knows Motorola. They've been making phones foryears, but the last few years they haven't been making,like, really good phones. I mean, they've been making good phones, but they've been mid-range stuff, two, $300 phones like the Moto G or Moto E series. And they're great, but they're not the best phones you can buy. Until now, anyway. Now they have the Motorola Edge Plus, which is its new flagship,its first flagship in years. And this things' seriously  from, that Edge Plus thing. 'Cause it's a regular phone, but then the screen just kinda goes all the way to the edges and then past the edges. Motorola says this actually curves almost 90 degrees down the side of the phone.

    The screen itself is a 6.7-inch display, which is the largest screen Motorola ever put in a phone. It's a 21:9 aspect ratio, though, so it actually feels really nice in your hand. It doesn't feel like you're holding this giant, massive slate. The screen features a 90 hertz refresh rate, so everything should look super smooth. Although you can switch that down to only automatically enable,or just run it at 60 hertz in order to save battery life. It's only an FHD+ panel,which is lower than some of the ultra-high resolution displays that we've seen in other phones, but Motorola say that's intentional. It wants to make sure that it can get as much battery life as it can out of it, and that means running it at a little bit of a lower resolution than some of the other competitors. It still looks great, though. Colors are bright, the scrolling is super smooth thanks to that refresh rate,and it's enjoyable to use. (bright music) The edge display isn't entirely cosmetic, though. Motorola's doing a couple of cool things with it. So the first is something that they call edge lighting, where the edge of the phone can actually light up when the phone is, say,face-down on a table. So if you get a notification come in or a call come in, the edges'll light up so that you can see from across the room that someone's calling you. It also lights up with alarms or when you plug the battery in. There's also some cool gestures. You can double-tap on the side to turn off the edge display if you just don't like the way it looks in an app, although if you don't like the edge display, don't buy a phone called the Edge Plus, maybe? And you can also use it to swipe between apps. Motorola also says you'll be able to use it as a sort of trigger when playing games, so you'll be able to use it as shoulder buttons if you're running around in "Fortnite," but that's not quite working just yet. The Edge Plus has stereo speakers. There's a speaker on the bottom,which is the main speaker. There's a speaker on top for the earpiece, which doubles as the second speaker for stereo sound. And in the very brief time I've used it, it's pretty loud. Since it's 2020, there's obviously no bezels or notches. There's just a single hole-punch camera in the top-left corner. It's a 25 megapixel camera,which works with the same Quad Pixel technology as a bunch of Motorola's other phones. Motorola hasn't just focuse done on the screen, though. The entire phone is a top-notch Android device.

   There's a Snapdragon 865 processor, which is Qualcomm's best,fastest, newest processor. And it also has full 5G support. It actually supports both sub-6 gigahertz and millimeter wave 5G. Motorola says this should be one of the fastest mobile devices that you'll be able to buy. Obviously, we haven't been able to quite put that to the test yet. It's gonna depend a lot on where you live and what kind of 5G connection it is, but they're really going in that this will be a top-of-the-line phone. 12 gigabytes of RAM, 256gigabytes of storage, a 5,000 milliamp hour battery that Motorola says should last up to two full days. They're really not cutting any corners here, and that includes the headphone jack, still got one. The top-line specs also extend to the cameras, and again, Motorola's not pulling any punches here. The main camera on the EdgePlus is a 108-megapixel sensor. It's the biggest and best camera sensor that you can put in a smartphone. It's similar to the one Samsung's using on it's top-line monster, the S20 Ultra. It can shoot 6K video, and you can either shoot it at a full 108 megapixels if you really wanna crop in and get the details, or you can use it with Quad Pixel technology which shoots at a mere 27megapixels, the horror. As for the other two cameras, there's also an eight-megapixel 3X zoom telephoto lens if you really wanna zoom in and get close on something, or shoot something from really far away that you'd still like to see at a normal size. And there's 117-degreeultra-wide at 16 megapixels that also has a really nice macro mode. You can really punch in and get some really good details from small stuff, like a coin. Things aren't quite finalized yet with the Edge Plus. The cameras, hardware and software are still being tweaked a little bit, so we'll have to put it to the full test once the device releases for real, but on paper it sounds impressive.The Edge Plus fast charges over USB-C with a wire at 15 watts. You can also fast charge it wirelessly at 15 watts, too, if you have a wirelesscharger that supports that. You can also wirelesslycharge another device like a smart watch or a pair of headphones using the Edge Plus, but that only goes up to five watts.

      Now for the big number, the price. Motorola's selling this for 999$, which puts it about in line with basically every other major flagship phone. In the U.S. it'll only be on Verizon. Motorola says that it's making this decision in part because it wants torely on Verizon's network, especially its 5G millimeter wave network, which is a particular area of 5G that Verizon has been focusing on a lot more than other carriers. But still, if you don't have Verizon and you think this phone's cool it's a little disappointing to hear, especially in 2020 where we usually don't see these kinds of carrier lockdowns anymore. Right now, it's a newflagship phone from Motorola, which we haven't seen in years, and that's just really exciting. Obviously, we're gonna have to spend a lot more time with this when it comes out to put it through its paces, see if  motorola edge plus really does hold up next to the S20s and iPhones of the world. As you might have guessed, we actually filmed this video a few months ago, and in that time Motorola's actually given us the release date for the Edge Plus. It'll be out on May 14th in the U.S. It'll cost, again, $999, and it'll be exclusive to Verizon. Stay safe and keep doing what you're doing.
